The best perfumes under 50 give you room to choose a scent you enjoy while keeping the bottle price below €50. Our shortlist includes soft musk for everyday wear, a fresh aquatic option and richer woods for evenings. Lovely is worth sampling if you prefer floral musk; Encre Noire is the one to sample if you prefer dry woods.
Each choice is a sealed bottle of EDT or EDP, with its size stated. These are all-season options for Dutch students and young professionals. If you mainly want something for heat, browse our fresh summer fragrances under €50 instead.

How we picked the best perfumes under 50
We compared Dutch shop listings and checked the stated notes against retailer descriptions, brand information and fragrance references. Every selected bottle appeared below €50 in Dutch listings retrieved in November 2026. Prices may vary; retrieved pages can show older price snapshots. Confirm the price and stock on the shop’s current page before ordering.
The cap applies to the bottle, excluding delivery. A delivered budget of €50 needs a separate checkout check. We used prices before optional discount codes and left out decants, body sprays and aftershaves. None of these seven picks repeats a bottle already featured in VYTA’s earlier guides.
This is a research-based shortlist. We have not tested these bottles ourselves or measured their wear time. Scent descriptions interpret the published notes. The suggestions about occasions are editorial choices, and longevity hours are not established here.
Best perfumes under 50 at a glance
The price-per-10-ml column compares the actual sizes shown, rounded to the nearest cent. It excludes delivery. A larger bottle can cost less per millilitre and still be the wrong purchase if you rarely wear it.

Seven bottles for different days

1. Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely EDP
Notes: Lavender, mandarin and bergamot, with patchouli, orchid, musk and woods.
Typical price: Around €22 for 100 ml; Wehkamp listed €21.89 in the retrieved page.
Best for: Someone who wants a musky, floral everyday scent.
Lovely’s lavender and musk suggest freshly washed cotton rather than a dessert. The patchouli and woods give you a different direction from the vanilla-heavy perfumes common in budget lists. Put this on your sample list if you want something for a lecture or a part-time job and enjoy soft floral scents.
Downside: A musky, powdery style can feel too restrained if you want juicy fruit or obvious sweetness. Choose by that preference before the attractive 100 ml price.
2. Guess Seductive Homme Blue EDT
Notes: Citrus, cardamom, black pepper, marine notes, geranium and cashmere woods.
Typical price: Around €20 for 100 ml; Wehkamp listed €19.92.
Best for: Casual daytime wear if you prefer aquatic scents.
Marine notes and citrus put Guess Blue at the aquatic end of this selection. Pepper and cardamom add a spicy edge, so it offers an alternative to the sweeter bottles below. The notes suggest cool water with a little dry spice. Test it for a busy day of classes or weekend plans.
Downside: The marine style may feel familiar if you already own a blue aquatic fragrance. We have not established its wear time, so do not buy it expecting a guaranteed full day.
3. Lalique Amethyst EDP
Notes: Blackberry, blackcurrant and other berries, flowers, woods, musk and vanilla.
Typical price: About €19 for 50 ml.90 before an optional code.
Best for: A berry-led scent for daytime.
Lalique’s own description of Amethyst centres on blackberry and blackcurrant. Picture a handful of berries with their leaves still attached, followed by a floral and woody base. It is worth sampling if you like fruit but want a change from creamy vanilla.
Downside: Berry notes can read tart or green rather than sugary. The 50 ml price is the figure used here; avoid comparing it with a 100 ml bottle without checking the size.
4. Cacharel Noa EDT
Notes: Coriander, peony, white musk, coffee and incense in the retailer’s description.
Typical price: About €24.50 for 30 ml.49.
Best for: Someone who wants a smaller floral and musky bottle.
Noa’s peony and musk offer a softer style than the caramel or leather notes elsewhere in this list. Peony and white musk suggest clean fabric, with a warmer background from the other notes. The small bottle is useful if you rotate scents and do not want 100 ml of every new purchase.
Downside: At €8.16 per 10 ml, this selected size is the most expensive per millilitre in our comparison. Its lower bottle price does not automatically make it better value.
5. Chopard Wish EDP
Notes: Fruit and flowers over vanilla, caramel, amber, patchouli and toffee.
Typical price: Around €24 for 75 ml.99.
Best for: Evenings when you want a sweeter style.
The Wish profile on Fragrantica lists caramel, vanilla and toffee among its base notes. That gives you a useful comparison with the dry vetiver of Encre Noire: Wish takes the sweet route. Think caramel sauce and warm wood rather than a bowl of fresh berries.
Downside: This is a poor blind buy if you dislike sweet scents. Sample it first, especially if your usual perfume is a light citrus or a clean musk.
6. Lalique Encre Noire EDT
Notes: Cypress, Haitian and Bourbon vetiver, cashmere woods and musk.
Typical price: Around €23 for 100 ml.
Best for: Someone who already knows they enjoy dry, woody scents.
Encre Noire is the most clearly woody option among these best perfumes under 50. Its cypress and vetiver suggest damp roots and pencil shavings rather than sweet fruit. That description is a reading of the notes, not a personal wear report. Consider it for cooler days if your quiz result is Dark & woody.
Downside: Dry vetiver is a specific taste. Sample this one before committing to 100 ml; its dry, root-like style can divide tastes.
7. Bentley For Men Intense EDP
Notes: Incense and pepper, leather, labdanum, clary sage, cedar, patchouli and sandalwood.
Typical price: Around €31.50 for 100 ml.
Best for: A warm, spicy evening scent.
Leather and incense give this a darker direction than Guess Blue. The woody base makes it a candidate for dinner or colder-weather plans if you like rich scents. Try a light application before deciding whether it belongs in your everyday rotation.
Downside: Its dense note profile may feel too heavy for a warm classroom. The EDP label alone does not establish its wear time on your skin.
Which one suits your week?
When choosing between the best perfumes under 50, start with the style you want.
- Try Guess Blue for an aquatic scent.
- For floral musk, compare Lovely with the smaller Noa bottle.
- Amethyst is the berry-led option.
- Wish takes the sweet route, while Encre Noire is for dry woods.
- Bentley sits closer to warm spice and leather.
These preferences work across gender labels. Pick one direction, test it and see whether you still like it after the opening changes. Our guide on how to choose a perfume helps you narrow the choice before buying.
Check the final price before buying

A shortlist of the best perfumes under 50 is only useful if you compare the same product. Check the exact name and concentration on the box. Guess Blue EDT is a different purchase from its aftershave or body spray. Compare the same bottle size, add delivery and check who sells the item on a marketplace. A discount code is only relevant if you meet its conditions.
The Perfume Society explains that different concentrations can also have different notes. Our EDP vs EDT guide covers that distinction. Avoid using the label as a promise of a fixed number of hours.
Test on your skin if you can, and wait before choosing. For application ideas, see our guide to making perfume last longer. A sample costs less than buying a full bottle you never reach for.
Perfume under €50 FAQ
Does under €50 include delivery?
The prices in this list are bottle prices. Add the shop’s delivery charge before paying if €50 is your total limit. Do not add an unwanted product just to reach a free-delivery threshold.
Is a smaller designer bottle better value?
It depends on how often you use it. A smaller bottle can keep the initial cost down, but compare price per millilitre. Noa’s selected 30 ml bottle costs more per 10 ml than the larger bottles here.
Which budget perfume lasts longest?
We have not measured these seven side by side, so we cannot give an honest winner. Read reports for the exact version you want, then test it on your skin. EDT or EDP alone is insufficient evidence.
Are the best perfumes under 50 suitable for anyone?
Yes. The products have different marketing labels, but you can choose by the notes and your own preference. Start with our signature scent guide if you are unsure which direction to try.
Our verdict
For the best perfumes under 50, make your first choice by scent preference. Sample Lovely for floral musk, Guess Blue for an aquatic style or Encre Noire for dry woods.
