Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This privacy policy explains which personal data VYTA (vytafinds.com) collects when you visit the website, why we do that and what rights you have. We keep data collection to a minimum.

Who we are

VYTA is a fragrance guide and affiliate website based in Deventer, the Netherlands. For questions about your data you can contact us at 532136@student.saxion.nl.

Which data we collect

  • Website statistics. With your consent we use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to see how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. IP addresses are shortened where possible.
  • Affiliate links. When you click a link to an online shop, that shop or its affiliate network may place a cookie to register that you came from VYTA. This only happens on the shop’s website and under its own privacy policy.
  • Email. If you email us, we receive your email address, name and the content of your message.

Why we use it

We use statistics to improve our content, affiliate data to earn a small commission that keeps the site free, and your email only to answer your question. The legal basis is your consent (statistics and cookies) and our legitimate interest in answering messages you send us.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Emails are deleted once your question is fully handled, and at the latest after one year.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. Data is processed by Google (analytics) and by the shops or affiliate networks you choose to visit. Some of these companies may process data outside the European Union under the safeguards required by the GDPR.

Cookies

You can choose which cookies you accept through the cookie banner. More details are in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its use and to withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to 532136@student.saxion.nl. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
